Teller lives inside a landmark Lygon Street building that has been part of the Brunswick East streetscape for decades. In 2021, the space underwent a full transformation, evolving into a modern dining and drinking venue while preserving the character and warmth of its historic bones.
The design blends clean architectural lines with natural materials, greenery, and light-filled spaces, creating an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and comfortable. From the main dining room to the all-weather laneway and private event spaces, every corner of Teller has been thoughtfully built to invite people in and encourage them to stay a little longer.
The kitchen delivers generous, produce-driven dishes inspired by classic pub fare with Mediterranean influences, while the bar showcases a broad and carefully curated drinks list including craft beers, cocktails, Victorian wines, premium sparkling, and an award-winning non-alcoholic selection.
Teller was created as a place for the local community to gather, celebrate, and connect, whether for a casual midweek meal, a long lunch that turns into dinner, or a special occasion worth raising a glass to.
